Looks like Sarah Chalke might becoming a regular on How I Met Your Mother, instead of a recurring character...

That's what I was just thinking.

They seem to be implying she's the mother after all though I don't buy it.

I wouldn't be shocked it is a swerve, but they'll eventually have to introduce the mother to the show..no?

Eventually. I just figure she already has a daughter and I don't picture Ted's future kids having an older stepsister.

Just watched the finale and I thought it was perfect. I couldn't think of a single way for it to have been done better.

SPOILERS

Everything remained totally true to the characters while still getting the nice scenes of closure and emotion. Quick appearances by every major supporting cast member.

The Janitor's named was nicely done as one of the producers had said a while ago that he would have the same name as the janitor on Clone High and they actually followed through on that.

And, most importantly, you feel that the characters are going to be alright. The home movies of a possible future for JD were great in particular the camera work with the videos playing on his face.

And music was so integral to the show that I really wondered what the last song they'd use would be. For it to be Peter Gabriel's Magnetic Fields cover was a tremendous choice though it had to end, of course, with the Lazlo Bane theme song itself.

Just really nicely done. I still feel that anxious feeling in my chest when I realise a show I love is done but it couldn't have ended better.
