Greatest Hits - really good. A few songs that are awesome. Mostly the same song over and over, but it's a good song. I'm glad DJ hooked me up with this. I'm pretty sure it's all the Loretta I need, probably more.

VLR - Starts off good, gets dull, then kinda weird awkward, then back to her more classic type stuff, but always kinda bland. I used to like the sound of all the slide guitar on this, but now it just enhances the uniform blandness. Not a keeper.

It is a little better having some more context for VLR, but not enough for me to feel like it's really necessary.

Macy Gray: On How Life Is

I'll always have a soft spot for this album for a few reasons. First, it came out while I was spending time in Amsterdam and was getting lots of play there so it's the soundtrack to a few adventures. Secondly and perhaps more importantly is that unique raspy voice. I've enjoyed some of her other albums just because of that voice, but this one has the best batch of songs for her to work with. I Try is the big hit, but songs like Do Something and Still are great as well. One of my favorite modern r&b albums.
