If you look at the applesauce labels, they usually have some w/ sugar added, and some not. I'll bet these guys tested the sugar-added one.

This is a win for those of us who don't give a shit if you're gay or not. It's not really a huge win for so-called "pro-gay" because there are far more Mainers who just want people to stopped getting all worked up about shit than there are "pro" anything.

So, I installed the Windows 7 release candidate on my home PC yesterday and, driver install issues aside, am really digging it so far.

Driver issues are precisely why I uninstalled the last beta for ubuntu 9 instead. I'm through with windows wherever possible.

If it weren't for gaming, video card driver support, secure CD ripping, and the most robust MusicIP app, I probably would be. I enjoyed my XP/Ubuntu 8.10 dual-boot experiment but found myself using linux less frequently as time went on.

So for lunch I decided to get out and go to a state park to eat my sandwich. It's been a stressful week or two.

There's a small state park about 5 miles away, set in the woods near some farms. I parked the bike, checked the trail map, and hiked half a mile in to a little lake I saw.

Trail was nice, leaves are coming out, and all was well.

...which was funny, because I saw another one further up the trail but it slithered off before I could get a picture of it. Lotta snakes out there. That one up there was sunning himself on the trail, and when he shot over into the grass, I damn near shit myself.

So then I get close to the lake and instead of a nice quiet secluded spot for lunch, I hear girls singing I'm Walking On Sunshine at the top of their lungs. I go around a corner on the trail and suddenly it opens up onto a nice lawn, a covered bridge over a dam, and 15 or 20 teenage kids walking around in groups, including the 4 girls singing on that covered bridge. I didn't know what else to do, so I kept walking. They saw me, giggled, stopped singing, I said "hello!" in the least-creepy way I could manage, and walked by onto the bigger part of the lawn. I found a spot, ate half of my sandwich, and wondered what the fuck I had stumbled on. Looked like summer camp or something - I thought I was out in the woods.

I'm still not sure. Maybe it was a school? It was like Lion / Witch / Wardrobe shit, where one minute I'm in fur coats and then the next I'm in Narnia. I only ate half the sandwich, afraid I'd get picked up on molo charges or something, but on the way out the girls on the bridge were stilllllll fucking singing Katrina and the Waves, so I joined in as I walked by, which got applause.
