Tonight: Dinner and a movie (maybe)

Tomorrow: House work - "Spring Party" for some group she's in. I am going to vibe Big Buana and hang it out my zipper.

Sunday: Fuck. Me. A. Fish.

On the whole, this passes for a pretty good weekend in MontGARmery.

I will continue to drink too much, sleep with strangers and listen to some rock 'n' roll music. Yup, the usual.

No idea. We were gonna go hiking in NH, but it's still covered in snow. Maybe go out to stinky old Worcester and watch UW's crew team on the river?

Either way it will involve good beer in the evenings.

Today: Complete four years of med school. Pack my car with my life's possessions. Leave La Crosse and head up to Minneapolis to check out an apartment. Smoke a cigar. Meet up with Cats later on.

Sat: Drive back to Madison. Unload my car. Run off friday night. Go to some birthday party and perform.

Sun: Cook and serve some food to some homeless dudes. Cook an awesome meal for myself. Beer me and ponder where the fuck the last four years of my life went.

Tell him to stop studying how to build the perfect hippy house out of spanish moss and good intentions and get back to the fucking board already.

Today: Finally submit my goddamn manuscript and then goof off accordingly by going and buying some records and books. Cooking up some Stuffed Yorkies (Yorkshire pudding with chicken, old cheddar, asparagus, drizzled with hollandaise) for dinner. Try out some new wines and flake out with a dvd.

Sat: Read some books, drink some wine, play some records and order in some sushi for dinner.

Sun: Backup my entire life on my new 1TB external.

I think it's LaCie; it's gonna be the Master Backup, the last line of defense in behind all my other 500s and 320s.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that nothing you have is important enough for this level of defense.

Thousands of MP3s, plus the digital version of my entire CD library. Not to mention about 7 years worth of data from mine and my wife's MSc and PhD, dissertations etc. So, pretty much all the important shit in my life requires it. The second I get a decent job, I'll be getting this.

that's sweet. my macbook has 250GB, i have a 500GB laCie first backup, and then the TB western digital playing outfield. i've got audio sessions and lots of graphics, so the more the merrier for me.

have you heard of jungle disk? you can store as much data as you want out in the S3 cloud for 15-cents a GB. i might look into it...all the external drives in the world are shit if your house/studio burns down.

I am looking forward to a gloriously boring weekend after 2 months of weekends where I was running around here to there.

Tonight:

Nothing. Not a goddamn thing. The biggest decisions made tonight will be dinner and, IF we decide to watch a movie, which one. We've been meaning to watch "In Bruges" for a while now though. Free On Demand right now.

Tomorrow:

Sleep in. Go to the park to run and what not. Grab lunch in Little Five Points, buy some records. Go home, nap.

Going to see the movie "Sugar" Saturday night I think. Not confirmed.

Sunday:

Heading to hometown for Mother's Day. Will be attending church for 1st time in about a year. It's the only thing mom ever asks of me on Mother's Day. Whattya gonna do? Aftewards, have some home cooked food, spend a little qt with the fam and head back.

Boring but it's just what I need. Actually looking forward to coming in on Monday not completely draggin ass.

Yeah, totally agree. I'm actually massively paranoid about the prospect of losing those devices. I think if the house started burning I'd be grabbing that big drive and skin grafts be damned. I've been wanting to investigate cloud storage for the big files as I'm in the process of moving a lot of those very important manuscripts into my Google docs as a non-local backup.

Today: Class...gym...lunchtime gig...attempt to take stuff back to a store and fail miserably (apparently none of this stuff came from there?). Now I babysitting my 2nd cousin...which means watching them play Wii Baseball. Heading out to a new burger joint later with the Mrs. to eat and have a few too little.

Sat: Fucking. Sleep. The. Fuck. In. Go for a run. Run errands with the Mrs. Head to photo studio for some pics for business cards. The gig at night.

Sun: Finish a take home test for Math. But besides that fucking chill out with my lady. Catch up on DVR stuff depending on the weather.
