Those people don't watch basketball, they just hate Bean Bryant because he's Bean Bryant. Ain't a damn thing either of us can do.

And yeah LeBron went nuts but this is a deeply flawed Hawks team: with this nucleus they can probably win 50 games and get out of the first round consistently but go no further in the East because they've A. got no superstar to take over a game and B. Mike Woodson is the coach

I've seen this movie before with the Lenny Wilkens coached teams of Mookie, Steve Smith and Dikembe. Same shit, different era.

Yeah they're hitting big shots but the only reason that they're in these positions is because they're struggling to handle teams that they should beat. Cavs-nugs Finals looks more and more likely.

Nuggets getting to the finals is looking more and more plausible. But they, like the Cavs, have yet to be tested.

Tim Donaghy will return as a referee before they let the Cavs/Lakers matchup NOT happen.

FWIW, I have never said that Kobe couldn't ball. In fact, on any given night he's one of the best in the world. My ire for him has everything to do with who he is/was off the court for years.

I think Lebron is a better player than he is TODAY which puts him light years better than Kobe was at his age. Lebron, to me, is a better leader and teammate than Kobe.

Don't even get me started on the Hawks. You're totally right about that Lenny Wilkins led Hawks team. I'd actually argue that Lenny was better than Woodson is but that Lenny team was as boring as watching paint dry. Least interesting 50 win team ever. I honestly don't know the answer here. I certainly don't think this nucleus has what it takes to take another step and I give very little credit to Woodson for the team's improvement over the last 3 years. That's what is supposed to happen when you stockpile lottery picks and are the youngest team in the league.

trade some of your current valuables for picks (suffer now, benefit later), or swap a couple mid-tier guys with not horrible contracts for a proven star with an expiring deal next year. Then use your cap space to roll the dice in the 2010 free agent sweepstakes.

I was rooting for the Hawks, but now I just want the Cavs to finish them off and end the suffering.

I'll be kind of relieved to get back to just merely enjoying the playoffs

Aside from the inevitable Lebron highlights, I really do not enjoy watching Cleveland play.

Stupid Orlando... I'm still rooting for a Magic-Nuggets Finals, and you're just trying to give it away to the Celtics.

I guess I should just give in and prepare for the inevitable Cavs-Lakers matchup.

When Marbury and Davis are the ones to destroy you, maybe it's time to admit Boston is deeper than "Big 3."

Ya, Celts have much more championship poise than the Magic, not to mention Van Gundy is a joke

Celts will have a real hard time stopping the Cavs, but I will be pulling hard for them

I'm not sure the Celts can stop the Cavs, but they are extremely good at grinding out comebacks late in games.

I love Shaq calling Van Gundy the "Master of Panic".

I'm not ready to call this series just yet.

For some reason I think that the Cavs would roll the Celtics. Cavs rested and deep, and the Celts old and tired.

I think the Magic could give the Cavs a run for their money simply due to the match ups. Also, Magic took 2 of 3 from the Cavs in the regular season.

Im pretty confident this Lakers team we saw yesterday is the one that's going to take us to the finals. Nuggets look good, but not good enough, Nuggets playing their best vs Lakers playing their best theres no doubt the Lakers are the better team.

Ray Allen is nowhere to be found in this series.

Another 7 game series.

Boston are going to hobble into the Conference Finals half-dead.

I have developed serious concerns about this Lakers team. At this point, i'd expect Nuggets in 6. Maybe less.
