I know how that sunday night thing can be....I was a little on the fence, but my girlfriend talked me into it...I was reading on philly.com yesterday that they(M.I.A & Diplo) are at sxsw this week, and coming back for the show...

I was thinking about going to that show at the keswick(Charlie & crew)
but, I just don't have the loot for tickets...I think Chapelle is at the Borgata this weekend...I know I couldn't afford that...

Hell no.

It's gonna be so packed at the Ukie, you won't be able to breathe.

Also, hollertronix does their thing like 5 times a year.

So, I was supposed to see M.I.A. and Diplo last night, but...they CANCELLED. Supposedly, it will be rescheduled (the club said to hold on to my tickets), but I don't know how likely this is. If they do end up rescheduling, I hope it won't be two weeks from now, when I'll be on vacation.

Passport problems. I haven't heard if she's got in yet. It's been 4-5 days.

That sounds like a good idea...I can pm you the day of the show and we can work out the details...

Cotton...I'm down for heads to get together in the city, drink, act a fool etc...Let's try and plan something for when the weather gets a little warmer...

Oh man, that sucks, and is definitely a legitimate reason to cancel! I feel bad now :( Hopefully she makes it in.

It's not cancelled.

Hello. This is the weekly newsletter about DIY independent music promoters "R5 Productions", located in Philadelphia, PA. We promote various indie, punk, hiphop, electronic and every other kind of band that fits under the loose classification of "independent music" in alternative venue settings. If you are unsure of how you received this and want off - please follow the link at the bottom of this e-mail or send a reply e-mail back with UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject to unsubscribe from this list. For more information on R5 Productions, please goto www.r5productions.com . Thank You for your support and helping create a truly diverse and vibrant music scene
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry for ANOTHER e-mail, but we wanted to clear up some issues and pass on these quick notes :

- Pitchfork (the online "indie" music zine) reported today that M.I.A was having visa issues and was not allowed access into the country. Which is true - but all issues have been worked out, she is in the country now and she IS going to be playing 4 shows in the US (the philly one being the only show in the entire north east) . We received many e-mails today asking about the show being canceled, how they can get their money refunded etc. THE SHOW IS STILL 100% ON. Pitchfork has since corrected the story. In fact there are only about 20 tickets left. After that you'll have to try your luck at the door. We'll be letting a small amount of people in w/o tickets - but everyone INCLUDING ticket holders should show up at 9pm as it's a Sunday evening, MIA will be going on EARLY. Trust us - get there at 9PM - dont sleep or be too cool trying to arrive all late.

Catch her if you can. The show here in Toronto was great.

If only that frickin' album would get released already...!
I might have to kidnapp our store's play copy.
