Im pretty confident this Lakers team we saw yesterday is the one that's going to take us to the finals. Nuggets look good, but not good enough, Nuggets playing their best vs Lakers playing their best theres no doubt the Lakers are the better team.
I have developed serious concerns about this Lakers team. At this point, i'd expect Nuggets in 6. Maybe less.

Mark my words: if the Nuggets get past the Lakers, they are winning it all. I can't believe I'm saying this, but they match up so well against the Cavaliers.

George Karl still doesn't take his job seriously enough though. But maybe that's part of this team's success.

yeah you're quite wrong on that one. they will beat the lakers, but Lebron's going to get so many calls in the finals that it'll make House Party look like House Party 2. There's nothing anyone can do at this point to match up with the Cavs. What could they do, put KMart on him and "try to make him start from the corner"? Carmelo can't guard him at all. they might be better off with Josh Smith trying him.

JR Smith? Can he even play D? I really don't know but i would expect that he'd be an awful defender....i guess you're saying it doesn't matter because no Nugget can stop him....i agree.

i'd just have Kleiza come in and batter him and hopefully screw with LeBrons head (is that even possible?).

see I think, if you're going to do that, you do it with Kmart, who may even try to fight LeBron (and lose). it's not a bad idea, but I think that people are forgetting that LeBron's been to the Finals before (to disastrous results, but still). i don't think that he's going to be as easily baited as someone like Kobe.

Just batter him with an onslaught of Dahntay Jones, Chris Anderson, K-Mart, and Nene. All of Denver's big men are wide and can move their feet. The key to guarding Lebron is denying him the ball and hitting him with the double team early, and being really physical. Denver has plenty of fouls to use up. Jordan Rules 2.0. He's great at passing out of the double team, but he's not very good at moving off the ball.

Cleveland's post up game is a joke. You can leave Ben Wallace open under the ring all game long and he'll miss open layups, if he attempts them at all. And Big Z only shoots 15-20 foot jumpers at this stage in his career.

Denver's frontline is far superior to Cleveland's. In fact, the only thing they have over Denver is Lebron, and that's a huge advantage (and one that possibly overcomes everything else), but Denver is superior in every other way.

if you do this, he's just going to hit williams/west for open 3s and they'll be in the bonus midway through the third quarter. even sczerbiak will hurt you. if you hit him with a constantly switching 4, which you'd have to do, half the time he'll score anyway and the other half Z will get that jumper he wants. this jordan rules 2.0 only works in if the league calls fouls like they did in 1993, not 2009. you'll get the foul called WAY before you have time to lay wood to him, like at the 3 pt line, instead of in the air around the basket. i'm not opposed to strategically popping a guy in the mouth, but i don't think that they have anyone other than nene that can even make Lebron feel it.

ben wallace won't even be in the game. varajeao might be though. he's only the slightest of improvements, but joe smith can finish some of this garbage

cleveland is much better on defense as well, in my opinion, but it's pretty close. i actually think that denver's biggest advantage is chauncey.

Yeah, to say that the Cavs are all Lebron and nothing else is to be elminated from the playoffs. You don't think everyone in the league has tried this strategy? West and Williams can be lethal and as for Z, he may not be Dwight Howard but he'll get his 10 and 6 and at 7'3 he fills up the lane. I think most teams underestimate how deep the Cavs are with solid role players.

I just think that everyone thinks to be physical with Lebron. They want to make him pay for coming into the lane but the NBA isn't going to let teams just thug it up and like Putin mentioned, teams will just get into foul trouble quick. I mean the Hawks tried to be physical but when Lebron makes one move at the 3 point line and 2 steps later is at the rim, what can you do?

Also, I think the Lakers win game 7 against the Rockets but will not be completely shocked if the Rockets pull one out.

The Lakers aren't winning it all and Kobe will be one more year older and further away from his Championship Teams that he helped tear down.

R.I.P. Wayman Tisdale.
44 years old,he died at the hospital where my girlfriend works, just a mile away from here.
The man had an unforgettable smile, even after having most of his leg amputated.A true class act.

Celtics just not putting up a fight here in the fourth...

The Magic are not playing well at all. Paul Pierce is just stinking it up.

Cs are making every possible mistake.

I know. Wasn't it glorious? Bruins eliminated by the 'Canes, Celts unable to defend their championship... Earlier this year, Jagodzinski out of a job at Boston College for interviewing with the Jets.

Now, for the White Sox or Royals to put it together & keep the Wild-card out of the AL East, & for Pennington to have another year in his arm (or Pat White to avoid rookie mistakes).

A year free of Bostonian championships. It would be heavenly.

NOBODY DENIES THIS.

Oh, but on the bright side, I do think Tommy Ammaker will have Harvard in the Sweet 16 within four years. Harvard! In the Sweet Sixteen!

Stupid Orlando... I'm still rooting for a Magic-Nuggets Finals, and you're just trying to give it away to the Celtics.

I guess I should just give in and prepare for the inevitable Cavs-Lakers matchup.

SWEET game by the Magic!!!

My Magic/Nuggets Finals is still a possibility... yes!!!

Magic Nuggets are what leprechauns give out to cute ladies like Rose McGowan, not a championship series.

Whenever the Lakers need to win they win in convincing fashion... Lakers in 6 with a dominant series by Pau Gasol.

Thank you Rashard Lewis for making amends for the bad call made by the ref to try to give the Cavs the game... Dwight Howard was there and went straight up, while LeBron initiated all the contact (that's a charge if it's not LeBron or Kobe).

Go MAGIC!!!
