I have a knot betwixt my left shoulder blade and backbone that is causing enough pain that it nearly makes me want to puke.

Kind of like a massive "crick" in the neck, but instead on the shoulder blade. Muscle relaxer anyone?

We just bought a house today. In Naperville.

Holy shit. Contract is being faxed to my husband to sign right now.

This is the one I really wanted but the sellers wouldn't budge on the price. I didn't give up and after a major breakdown sunday morning made my mother(our real estate agent) resubmit an offer at our highest(which was still a big dip for the seller). They took it this morning.

Holy shit. I finally get to live in a house with a backyard.

i'd love to sell my house tomorrow, but our broker says we'd have to take at least 60k less then what we paid almost two years ago....We will stick it out till the tide turns.

BAKERSFIELD -- A horrifying case of alleged child abuse in Bakersfield, where a 34-year old father is accused of biting out one of his son's eyes and mutilating the other.

Police say Angel Vidal Mendoza appeared to be under the influence of PCP when he attacked the 4-year old boy April 28.

After the attack on his son, police say Mendoza rolled his wheelchair outside and began hacking at his own legs with an ax.

A neighbor found 4-year-old Angelo Mendoza Jr. naked, unconscious and covered in blood on the floor of his home.

Officers later discovered that one of the boy's eyes was missing and the other eye was horribly damaged.

Investigators said the child told them, "My daddy ate my eyes."

Doctors at Mercy Hospital say it's unclear whether Angelo will regain vision in his right eye.

The boy's mother wasn't home at the time.

Mendoza is now hospitalized at Kern Medical Center.

He is scheduled to be in court Wednesday on felony charges of aggravated mayhem, torture, willful cruelty to a child and inflicting injury upon a child.

Kern County District Attorney's officials said Mendoza's court appearance may depend on his medical condition.

Mendoza and the child's 23-year-old mother, Desirae Marie Bermudez, were charged with being under the influence of PCP in 2006 and pleaded no contest to child cruelty charges in that case, court records show.

Mendoza has a criminal record going back to 1997 that includes convictions for selling alcohol to a minor, battery and check forgery.

Just fuckin' heart breaking...

I can't imagine inflicting that type of pain on my son when he was 4 years old. My instinct is to protect my kids from suffering.

Guy here in my office was asking me about Chickenfoot and I looked at him like he had 2 heads.

Phoenix man killed in gun-safety demo

A 26-year-old Phoenix man accidentally killed himself early Sunday while explaining gun safety to two Sierra Vista residents.
Samuel Benally Jr. was at an apartment on West Tacoma Street when he said guns should be kept unloaded because people could point them at their heads, said Sierra Vista police Sgt. Brett Mitchell.
Benally then demonstrated by putting his own 9mm Ruger, which he believed to be unloaded, to his head and firing it, Mitchell said.
Benally was flown to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, Mitchell said.
An investigation is ongoing, but police do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved, Mitchell said.
