That Collaboration Not Litigation I had camping was, as Shiv told me it'd be, pretty fucking good. Every sip, all the way through the bottle, I'd sorta notice again how good it was, though some of that may have been from how glad I was to finally be sitting down after that hike.

= The Wrens for the beer world. It's ok, actually better than ok, but the hype is an order of magnitude over what the beer warrants. Great example of scarcity driving up perception.

Sierra Nevada is a better Pale Ale.

I've never had Fat Tire before but Sierra Nevada is MEHtastic. I can drink it in a pinch but its one of my least favorite beers priced at $5-6+ a six pack and commonly found on tap. I really don't prefer it over bud even.

Jesus. You'd take a bottle of Bud over a Sierra?

I saw it on the shelf.

I swear I could just buy a pistol and rob that place. I want everything on that one last shelf past the cooler.

In theory, I'd be pretty ambivalent about the choice. I'd probably not order either. If I'm only having one drink, it probably wouldn't be a beer anyway unless I'm eating something like Crabs or Bratwurst or in a place with much better choices. If I'm planning on swilling beer all night, I'd definitely choose bud over sierra.

Proving that taste is subjective, Sierra is probably my favorite beer.

If I were to answer this, it'd be, "hell yeah." As I've said before, I HATE over-hopped pale ales.

And yes, that Wacko Summer Ale is fucking atrocious, and red.

Pictures takes too much time, so in the last couple days I've had:

Bear Republic Hop Ryd Rye - B
Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout - B
Southern Tier Back Burner - B+
Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier - A

and from my last post:

Dogfish 120 Minute IPA - A-
Dogfish Burton Baton (draft) - A
Weyerbacher Double Simcoe IPA (draft) - B+
Breckenridge 471 Small Batch IPA (draft) - B
Bluegrass Jeffersons Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout (draft) - B
Williamsburg Aleworks Drake Tail IPA - B-
Ayinger Celebrator - A
Stone Russian Imperial Stout (draft) - A
Harpoon IPA - C+
Weyerbacher - Old Heathen - B

I also took a nice swig of Flying Double Double Dog backwash topped with a couple bowls worth of marijuana ash, drunkenly thinking it was a few ounces of the actual beer sitting at the bottom of the bottle. I'd have to give that an F.

I've got these in the fridge:

Dogfish Indian Brown Ale
Great Divide Hercules Double IPA
Great Divide Titan IPA
Lagunitas Censored Ale
Lion Stout
Oskar Blues Old Chub
Sierra Nevada Stout
Victory Old Horizontal

that's a pretty accurate memory for a black out night

A couple of them are iffy (for example, I thought for a couple seconds whether to give the Breckridge a B or B+), but it's pretty accurate. I was pretty drunk for a while, but I didn't fully blackout until about 2/3 of the way through the 120 minute, which was my last beer of the night. I don't remember a single thing from the one or two hours post-beer drinking though.

This settles it. That brewery can't seem to find its own asshole with a flashlight. I want to like them because they're small and Vermont, but yeah, I never do.

Aside from Magic Hat fucking sucking my ass, I am intrigued by this -- I love beets.
