Congrats Gar!

You probably already fixed it, but there's a typo at the end of the front page first paragraph--you need a "to" between need and elect.

Yeah that was good...funny cause dave's pic made me think of this:

[img][650:365]http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/885/angel20.jpg[/img]

[img][650:355]http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l129/satanius/vlcsnap-13774766.png[/img]

but i was far too lazy to think of doing anything with the thought.

I'm late to this, but the site looks pretty sweet to me. Design is good, easily navigated, tells me what I'd want to know. The only hitch is both principals look like a portion of their fee would be your first born daughter's hymen, but there's not much you can do about that.

Thanks guys -- you can NEVER be disappointed with getting in the Wash Post.

I've gotten several phone calls since friday about potential projects, as well. (And that's why we're here - to make money)

The logo is getting a lot of props, and everyone says to change the pics. That will be done asap.

I was going to suggest the one from Bloor's "American Flag Project" but I couldn't find it.

That one would actually be perfect! I couldn't find the one where he Godzillas the Christmas tree, so I decided to go with this one over the one where he's inhaling the Chipotle like it was a Tic Tac.

my constructive criticism on the site -

- i'm not a fan of the background. specifically, the puzzle pieces and american flag are really distracting, especially when they're showing under the text. it is competing with being able to easily read the tagline and the bodytext. from a user experience perspective that's a big no-no.
- i would think about reducing the size of your "mowery..." and american flag logo, which i guess would make all the puzzle pieces a bit smaller
- i'm seeing the border of the frame of the main copy area, probably due to the background.
- I would bump the body copy down a couple of point sizes
- i would move the nav to be on top of the copy and laid out horizontally, then make those bitches rollovers that show the 2nd tier of nav. you're making users make an extra click which is also another UX no-no.
- it feels that the homepage is a bit wordy and needs to be edited down. might be a bit overwhelming to a new user coming to the site.
- i accidentally found out that the three tagline words are also links. i'd change that to just be a static image and keep your links coming from your main nav for consistency
- can you better categorize your services? Maybe break it into two new categories, one having Consulting, Media Strategies and Vote Targeting, and the other having Web Dev, direct mail, and collateral? not sure what to name both of those categories though.

but congrats on getting recognized. that's pretty sweet

That's a vintage pic from a MAIN ERA.

Also, I can't believe Derris isn't on FB.

You should use this as the background for your website:
