Dude is HEADLINING some big-ass festival. Bonnaroo?
He is selling out 15,000-seat arenas and stuff.

Major airplay.

Yay.

I'm pretty sure we don't really need to talk about this at all.

man, I like it the best out of any of his previous releases. haha.

I didn't know he was selling out "arenas" nor did I know that he was getting major airplay either. If so, good for him.

I want him to keep making music.

I liked Armchair Apocrypha a lot. Noble Beast just doesn't have the songs and his preciously pretentious word choices just annoys me (this probably has more to do with all of the NPR programming I heard about the record).

Also, Todd's comments were meant to be tongue-in-cheek reference to the HUGE Kings of Leon thread.

Except for the whistling. There's no old man whistling on any Rancid reckids. Andrew Bird has definitely cornered the trendster hipster nigster market on old man whistling.

I think I heard one of his songs playing on the radio in the car that I was outside working on, sounded like that Bobby McFerrin.

i had the opposite reaction. i couldn't bring myself to bother listening to AA more than 5 or 6 times, but the new one really grabbed me. but then, i didn't hear npr deconstruct/fawn over it.
