I had to quit Diet Dr. Pepper and Coke Zero. I just got addicted to the caffeine. Basically the same reason I quit coffee years ago.

Plus, all I think about when I drink a dark soda is my Dad passing a stone. His doc said it was all the dark soda and tea he drank.

So I just figured the best thing was to quit soda all together.

My dad's lower vertibrae were the consistency of a wet sea sponge, apparently owing in no small part to a several-cans-of-coke-classic-a-day habit he's had for, what 20 or 30 years? He shattered the fuck out of the L1 about 3 months back, lifting 80 lbs. Surgery City.

yeah, there's some around here but they're mostly from bodegas. i haven't noticed it in a 7-11 or the like.
