Bob, what's your record? Just curious...

My guess is ten months... am I close?

can't remember exactly, but long enough for me to still feel guilty about it

that guilt is obviously manifesting itself in trying to shame others not to replicate my mistake

I'd be surprised if your hold-out was longer than Monty's for my win in the NCAA tourney bracket a few years back. It was at least a year, maybe two. In fact, he never directly payed me--he payed Sketch, for me, for something we bet on.

Persevere on your hold-out Malachi--the record is within your reach. :drink:

We live in the same psychological world, bobbo. Gratify me.

Scott,
I sent you a message on Facebook.
I'm mailing it off today. There was no excuse, just being a deadbeat.

Oh yeah, I am alive.

I've just been looking for a new job, after pulling a Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire. I didn't really make a huge scene. I just told my boss it was time for me to go, and I had been there too long for my own good. Supposedly the City was going to make them cut one of us anyway this month, so I did something nice for two people without college degrees. I've been sending out resumes like mad and considering a brief return to school.

I've been jogging several times a week and enjoying some family/friend events like a recent wedding, and have a few more weddings to go this Summer.

I'm helping some local political friends with a letter writing/grass roots campaign for the Employee Free Choice Act and Health Care Reform. I'm also fighting the man, by assisting in the effort to save a local club who is being forcibly evicted by their landlord and is involved in a lawsuit over their lease. There are going to be a few benefit shows for the cause, and I wrote a character deposition/testimonial piece in support of the club, since they helped my brother and I put on a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation benefit gig with recently signed Saddle Creek artist UUVVWWZ.

And just because I haven't posted here much, doesn't mean that Bob and almost everyone else here couldn't have harassed me to Pay up via Facebook.
I comment on something Loogs post about once a week.

I was just busting your chops, Pat. Sorry to hear about your gig, but 'twas a noble thing you did. Best of luck in finding something more in line with your education...would you ever consider moving out of state?

Oh, I know you were just kidding. As I mentioned, if it was serious, someone would have called down the thunder on Facebook or sent me a PM much earlier.
I'd definitely move out of state if relocation cost was somehow factored in. Right now, I'd prefer to head up to Omaha for work or out to Kearney briefly to get a teaching Certificate, if I can't stay here.
I've flirted with the LSAT, but I'm still not fully prepared to spend that much time in school.
As of now I'd just like to get something to get me through the summer. I've applied to be a Mentor for the Highly Gifted for Lincoln Public Schools, but that wouldn't start until the Fall. I have a DJ friend who does this as well, and all you need is some graduate credits and a high GPA in a field of expertise that they need mentors. Luckily for me, they are looking for Geography and Social Science mentors.
