Big bummer. Her last couple of albums were actually beginning to give her a resurgence.

Her 2007 album--"Old School" is definitely worth checking out, among her various back catalog.

Saw them at a huge barbecue event in Naperville, IL when I was in high school. They played an extended set since the advertised headliner, David Sanborn, was a no show. I was digging it, but my mom's friends were there for the Sanborn and not impressed.
