EDIT: this has that 80's production sound that sounds so dated.

"It'll All Work Out" is a stand-out so far.

EDIT: Title track is another stand out. I can't get passed the 80's sheen.

It's still the only one I own, but yeah, so many great songs. I think that the bulk of his most-covered songs are all on that record.

I did a (very bad) cover of "Worried Shoes" in one of my old punk bands.

Yep. That, and "The Creature" (which is entirely too short).

Social Distortion: Prison Bound

Social Distortion thread had me pulling this out to hear them take on the Stones Backstreet Girl. This is the first album where these guys really expanded and opened up their sound after going on hiatus for some heavy drug and alcohol abuse. If you like the self-titled and Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell and haven't picked this up, go do it.

Jesus, Widespread Panic ripped off "Something Big" for their entire early 90s sound.

Raphael Saadiq - The Way I See It

IMO, the best reason to be optimistic about the state of R&B today. (Even if the sound is distinctly retro.)

It's tight. Good stuff. Much better than Let Me Up (I've Had Enough), which could use a serious re-issue with a new mix and mastering job.

I usually play either Hard Promises or Damn the Torpedoes for my Petty fix...occasionally Full Moon Fever, which could be so much better without some of the overly-glossy production.
