Core was the anthem album at keg parties back in my time walking off campus with a plastic cup.

I can't believe I forgot to mention "Spin Doctors - Two Princes" as a candidate to be abolished.

I can also report that Coldplay has overtaken Dave Mathews as the most overplayed artist on rock radio.

Yeah, but that's off of Purple. I'd kill to hear some 'Big Bang Baby' or 'Trippin' On a Hole in a Paper Heart'. I can still get off on that latter song.

i hated that fucking abortion of a song from the first second. It sounded *exactly* like their other song, or vice versa.

I used to loathe so many songs and want all who played them pierced through the hearts. But I hear so much music online now that has nothing to do with commercial radio and I don't listen to commercial radio at all outside of work. So I'm not troubled anymore. Let them have their asstunes on their asswaves. I just won't let them in my house.

I actually agree, but mainly as a means of preserving it. I've loved the shit out of that song for years, and I wish overplay hadn't come so close to ruining it for me.

I don't mind STP except for Core, which is terrible. Nothing salvageable on that record at all.

"Sex Type Thing" is particularly sucky.

And not because it's offensive or anything, but I guess there's that, too, if you want.

the real question - why is anyone listening to mainstream FM radio anyway? I realize there are some specialty shows that are good, but for the most part, radio sucks.

I'm sorry, but I still get a smile from that song and turn it up every time I hear it. I love it.

Although, it should be banned from use in all advertisements until the end of forever. Not even referenced.

Wonder what the name of that one is? :D

I loathe Clapton and any band he's been in.

As far as today's radio, which I hardly listen to, it would have to be:
Trapt - "Headstrong" for suxors
Nirvana - "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "All Apologies" and
Pearl Jam - "Jeremy" for overplay

I can't even leave it on a traditional "Classic" rock radio station for a single song anymore because that shit has ALL been overplayed.
