one of my favorite of these old new punk bands. they do it well IMO.

my complaint is that they've put the same album about 10 times now.
plateaued around punk and drublic.

your thoughts?

Oh, and I generally agree, except their early stuff was pretty bad.
They have 2-5 good songs per record with lots of filler.

Never heard 'em that I know of.

OK now this has gone too far.

I like 'em. Fun, competent and they don't take themselves too seriously. I've only seen them live once, and they do a good show. Their albums do get a bit redundant though.

One of my favorites is their song about the gated community for retired punkers.

punk in drublic was their peak. on my listmania i believe.

everything after that has ranged from good efforts to phone ins, but altogether tolerable, especially compared with most other SoCal skate punk.

the Fuck The Kids 7" and the The Decline EP re great, though.

I only have a few cassettes of their work left in my collection. I believe they are Punk in drublic, Heavy Petting Zoo. I might have had Punk in drublic and sold/traded it away.
They were entertaining in my punk phase, but I was never as gung ho about them as a lot of people I knew in college.
From my recollection, there seemed to a division between Fugazi fans and NOFX fans back then.

I haven't listened to NOFX since high school or so, although I still think they were pretty perfect for me at the time. I think Punk in Drublic was the last thing of theirs I really heard except for some live album. I'm sure I'd cringe at most of it, but I did love "Linoleum"...

The thing that shits me most about bands like this is their fans think punk rock was invented by Henry fucking Rollins.

This is my problem with them and any of the bands comparable to them (Screeching Weasel, the Ergs, etc.) One of my ex-roommates listened to this shit exclusively and just thinking about it gets my blood boiling.

Thinking of it reminds me of dudes that wear expensive skate shoes.

Because he drives an Olds Alero. None more punk.
