last summer it was the last jim noir album.

. . . i have the first oranger album (doorway to norway) coming via musicboomerang (prevents me from having to rebuy it) and, though it's been a long time since i've heard it, i'm looking forward to having it for the summer.

Suprisingly (at least for me), the new Yo La Tengo is becoming my summer album.

Thee Oh Sees - HELP seems like a good candidate at the moment.

I might get tired of the sorta retro-garage-y-ness before the summer's up, though.

the new phoenix would be if it was just shortened to like a 5 song ep.

Their performance on SNL may have killed this album for me.

watching lisztomania now. the band looks into it but his vocals are kind of weak and he looks a little bored. that guitar note was severely out of tune near the end of the first chorus. 1901 is a little better but this band is starting to remind me of smashing pumpkins in that they're great in the studio but terrible live.

I'm sort of digging the new Metric and it's my early favorite for my Summer album. It's easy, cute pop but it works for me.

Wilco so far. Not that it's super-summery, but it just doesn't have any competition yet.

Oh yeah, that's going to be up there for me too. Just didn't consider it since it hasn't been released but that and Dinosaur Jr. will top my list once they're out.

I don't really have one yet, but I'd say Wilco and Lucero once they're released.

Bat for Lashes is the only thing that has really bit me so far and that isn't a summer album, per se.
I can't believe I am saying this but the new phoenix is meh.

The Leftovers: Eager to Please

Nothing at all groundbreaking, but fun, happy, sing-songy power-pop about nothing deep. Should be fun for the summer
