Cary (my 10-year-old) decided to get back into playing guitar, and so he used the money he'd been saving for an iPod Touch to pick this up, instead:

(Lightly used. $65.)

I'm so proud.
Having a little lesson/jam session with him after work today.

He was debating between the Vox and Orange combo amps before this one became available. The fact that Jimi Hendrix was a big proponent (and that he could afford it) sealed the deal.

He's still really little though, isn't he?
It's just good that he likes to do anything with it!

I don't know what I'll do if my kid/s don't play an instrument. I guess I should begin preparing myself for that possibility.

belligerent honking apparently isn't a constitutionally protected right

also, the lady in this story seems cuckoo for coco puffs.

The only thing I'm gonna do is "require" for lack of a better word that they take one year or so of piano lessons if they want to play an instrument or do anything musical. Its only a year and a year's worth of piano lessons can pay dividends forever.

I wish someone had made me do this.

How is it that lenders can often come off like they haven't been doing this job for ten years??

Our lender sent us over the edge today after requesting last minute items for the underwriters. The loan was supposed to be in order by today per our contract. They apologized to me ten times after I let them have it for their inadequacy and the fact that they have made us miserable for three 1/2 weeks.

I just want to be in my house next weekend as per plan then I'll breathe again.
