Hope you hang around and drag KPH and velouria back with you.

I saw him/Bon Savants on Saturday and also forwarded this link to him. Velouria is great with child right now. How about that for an update?

Now can you figure out who suggested each song?

That would be neat. I think that I can figure most of mine out, or at least narrow it down to me and possibly one or two others on some.

I copied and pasted this list into a Notepad file years ago when I lurked at the CMJ board. I still keep track of how many songs on this list I have listened to and own.

I'm going to start listening to the ones that I forgot or haven't listened to tonight. It should make for an interesting couple days.

As someone who wasn't part of the board back then. I'm curious how this list was even compiled. That just seems impossible.

I think so. I vaguely remember this, but I know it started well before I began lurking / posting.

Or maybe someone had just bumped it when I started coming around.

It was a running thread where everyone just posted one of their favorite songs with the unwritten stipulation that it was basically indie and an album cut instead of necessarily a single. It went on for months, if I remember. Seems like it was etiquette to wait until at least 20 or so were posted before posting another. Thus, there is no "order" absolute best to just good, as billy mentioned I believe. Of course, I could have just dreamed all of this.

That's how I remember it too. Also, there were a couple of boarders more obsessed with the project than most. I think nickisnotdead, for example, was responsible for approximately 763 of the 1,000 songs.

This was before my cmj time. However, this thread is almost surreal at this point.

I remember this happening but I forget how much I contributed to it directly. If memory serves, our favorite Greek was using the Xplorer moniker (at least at the start).
