I do care. I missed them when they came through last fall and was bummed - never seen them live.

Brand New is a band that I feel like I'm way too old for yet still think is one of the best bands going right now.

Is there any more word on their next album?

i will say, in fairness, that of bands of that ilk they've matured their sound quite admirably from release to release

They stuck with it but expanded their sound a bit from Deja whatever. Like you suggested before, it's not that they're innovative or different, they just do what they do really well. They're about the only "screamo" (is that how you spell it?) band I can even tolerate and I don't just tolerate them, I listen to them all the time. It's weird.
