At the resort in FL this weekend, I decided instead of ordering $7 beers in plastic cups, I would buy a $7 sixpack of tallboys. Very smart. Then I thought of using the insulated mug, and man that shit worked nicely. For a minute I was like "jesus, this is kinda redneck," and then I remembered I was in Florida.

While not the nicest beers in the world, they ain't bad, and they hit the motherfucking spot sitting here for 3 days in a row...

Anchor Summer Beer, the only good beer I have in my fridge at the moment.

I wish I knew the name of the Belgian Style Ale I had the other night. It has a hint of cranberry, but doesn't have a red color. I should try Piraat now that they carry it at the nearby liquor store, but I can't bring myself to pay that much for one bottle right now.

This is where I'm at. I keep buying sixpacks of that Long Trail Double Bag instead, for $8.99, because each bottle is almost 9% and it's so good.

There's no way I could rank Oberon below an A-. I really miss it.

True indeed. The best casual drinking outside summer beer.

In fairness, Oberon is the one beer on that list that didn't get a fully fair shot. I went to the beach yesterday where surprisingly no glass OR alcohol is allowed, so I was taking big gulps of it out of the bottle whenever the lifeguard and/or cops weren't paying attention. I want to try another one when I can sit down and relax.

Had a few of these before a gig playing on a lake last weekend. Awesome. It seems I'm liking it more this year than in years past. Not sure why.

They always remind me of the patio of Teh Booger Mart. Used to drink them out there, working by remote.

Really good IPA, very balanced, nothing crazy. Strikes that balance between "Session Beer" and "Good But I Just Want One." Even though it's not all Dogfish Head intense, you can tell it's made very well. I like these guys.

Love, love, love Peche Mortel. It's my favorite coffee stout although I have high hopes for Central Waters Coffee Stout.

Just ran up to Milwaukee to grab a bunch of Oskar Blues for my wedding this weekend. Grabbed 12 Yella Pils and 12 Dale's with 2 Gordon's and 2 Ten FIDY's for myself.

Their Winter Solstace stout may be the best one I've ever had. Those guys don't fuck around.

Also, do you keep some sort of notepad on you at all times?

There is no way I'd remember all of those beers.
