Hey kids, I know that I'm an absentee obnish these days, but I still like y'all, so I thought that I'd share - I just got home from work and my drummer called. About 6 guitars, a shit ton of pedals, and a few amps got lifted from our home studio at his house - I don't even know about my computer, which has all the masters for our new album on it. I'm going to jump in the shower and head down there for moral support / list making / talking to cops. More later, please send good vibes down to the ATX.

So, an update - looks like about between 4 and 5 $K worth of gear, most of which is duct taped with our gear code. oodles of pedals, a bunch of guitars, two amps . . . bah, a list of good stuff. Most favorite? A bass I've had since I was 13 and a shitty awesome acoustic that JJ has had since he was about the same age. We're talking with detectives and stuff. Seems like neighborhood kids, most likely, as CONDOMS were stolen off the bedside table and a digital camera was stolen by moving a coffee table to reach a high shelf. Off to look in pawn shops tomorrow . . .

My drummer and his wife have homeowner's insurance. We'll get some money back - got a gig in two weeks we need to get gear for, though. I'll be seeing what I can borrow for that.

engine down got their whole van and trailer stolen in houston on our 05 tour. they got a lot of help through musicares....i don't if that would be worth looking into or not

I visited neuro today after work and in the ten minutes I was inside, someone opened the tankbag on the motorcycle and rifled through it - left it wide open. Fucking scavenging pricks. They didn't get anything. I only keep bungee cords and cable lube in there... Still. I would've split someone's head open with my helmet had I the chance.
