Has anyone heard these guys? I saw them open for Gogol Bordello a little while back and enjoyed their set pretty well. Not a completely dissimilar sound from GB (lots and lots of members, wildly varying instrumentation, excitable live show), but maybe with a little more Devendra Banhart and Free Design or something. They definitely looked like a dirty, dirty bunch of hippies that need sandwiches.

Anyway, they've been featured a few places since and some of their songs might have grown on me like scabies. I don't know if they have an album out or anything, but they were on KCRW recently.

I heard a song on XM. Wasn't bad, but I'm not sure it's something that I'd really like to hear on a regular basis.

Pretty good stuff. I'll keep my ear out for the debut full-length.

Also, it didn't seem like dirty hippy music on the one song I heard.

So, this album is out and I am loving it.

Here's the first track on the album:

If that's "40 Day Dream" yeah it's a good tune.

I may pick this up along with a couple of others I've been meaning to buy. Is the full album strong or just has a couple of good tunes?

I have no idea what our tastes are like in terms of similarity, but I feel like each listen I am grabbing my iPod or looking at my iTunes to figure out which song I am hearing because of something new and enjoyable that I like. There are a couple tracks that are "meh" but overall I think this is a very strong album. 40 Day Dream is my favorite by far, and I don't think any of the others touch it in terms of quality, but the album is solid IMO.
