One of my many moments as an impressionable fifteen year old RnR kid was seeing The Who in 1976 at The Day on The Green in Oakland. When Pete came in with that Open E a couple of minutes into Baba O'Reily and 60,000 people loudly surged forward at the same time.....well, the power of it all was quite overwhelming for a naive wannabe. Over the years my stance on "most" of The Who catalog has changed a bit and I still can't stand Roger Daltrey, but at least I can appreciate those times and what they meant.

I voted for The Ramones.

I'd say mostly people who view the world in terms of their Not-Suckage versus all other's Do-Suckage, where the criteria is obtuse and myopic and consistently exclusionary to anything pleasant/delicate or populist/loud.

Which you'd think would be a very tiring way to live one's life.

Fspoon, if you were even a quarter as wise as you seem to think you'd know to shut the fuck up occasionally.

Shouldn't you be writing a spec article on the true punk spirit of Weezer for the Austin Diddler right about now?

God, you both hate rock music.

Yeah, I'll take my rock lessons from a Gerry Rafferty fan.

touche'

Actually, while I think Who's Next is the greatest album of all time, that Ramones album is one of the very few I don't have a problem defeating it in a head-to-head matchup.

I just have a hard time getting my head around anyone thinking Who's Next flat-out sucks. Overplayed? Absolutely! But you honestly didn't like it back before you got tired of it? Does not compute.

I honestly never liked "Won't Get Fooled Again" or "Baba O'Riley" as far as I can remember. Never really liked "The Song Is Over" or "Behind Blue Eyes", either. That's not to say that I think it flat out sucks from front to back, though. "Going Mobile" is nice.

"Behind Blue Eyes" I liked when I was 10.

It's now my least favorite Who other than the overblown horror that is Tommy.

"Going Mobile" is my kinda Who song."
