Beach Boys and Pet Sounds are like new new Beatles and Sgt. Peppers. Can we please eventually end up as a society with a scared super-fantastic you're an idiot if you don't like this album record I actually like?

It's like Al Jardine heard us arguing and wanted to weigh in:

Man, all tied up. I went with Dylan.

I have to really be in the mood for Pet Sounds. I really like it but it just gets a but too precious for me at times. I tend to skip over some songs like "That's Not Me" and "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times".

I don't do that with BIABH. "I got nuthin Ma, to live up to...."

Fun fact: 2 great songs that were recorded for BIABH that didnt' even make the cut; "I'll Keep It With Mine" and "If You Gotta Go, Go Now (Or Else You Gotta Stay All Night)

If my dreams, could be seen, they'd probably put my head, in a guillotine.

God Damn America! That really might be my favorite Bobby Zim joint.

What are those recordings on? Fairport Convention did an awesome cover of "I'll Keep It with Mine", but I think that's the only version of it I've ever heard.

Pretty sure both are available on one of the Bootleg Series discs. Possibly Biograph as well.

The Cowboy Junkies do a pretty good version of "If You Gotta Go....." as well.

I'll Keep It With Mine is on Biograph, the other one doesn't show on it, but, yeh, I think it shows up on one of the Bootlegs disks.

I only like when they sing about girls and cars and sound catchy.

which is why Endless Summer is my favorite BB album. That being said, I voted Pet Sounds
