This is the first round of the tournament stage. Please vote for the album that you feel should move on to the second round.

To encourage as many votes as possible, the deadline to vote will be Monday at 2:00PM Eastern.

I'll pass on this one as well.
Revolver won't need my vote, and I just never got Big Star.

Beatles for the same reason as B & S/Stones matchup. Revolver is stronger full album.

I like Revolver, but I listen to Big Star twice as often, at least.

I think the music nerd in me wants to like Big Star more than they are actually worth liking.

Why are we voting for 2 albums against 1?

I know it practically will not affect the outcome here, but these two albums together are collectively better than Revolver, but neither one is better than Revolver on its own.

Because most of the board and specifically whoever recommended it has probably only heard those big star albums as part of that twofer cd reissue. I'm guilty of doing the same with Gram Parsons GP/Greivous Angel. I couldn't begin to tell you which songs are from which album.

Maybe its a bit unfair but its understandable how it happens.

It's understandable how it happened in the nomination process.

I think it's comparing apples to oranges in this poll. Revolver's a great album and will deservedly win, but in a closer poll, this would be an issue. The two big star albums are from two different years with two different lineups. Were there any other twofers that made it into the bracket?

Speaking for myself, I could differentiate the two albums quite easily, as I think they are very different in feel.
