Just saw that - apparent double-homicide.

Reports are coming out that it was a murder-suicide committed by the woman.

Definitely not player.

And yeah, that news fits the description.

But I'd vote for ShamWow!'s lame attempt at humor in this situation.

I know he played longer for the Titans, but us Ravens fans are pretty bummed. Nice guy, and decent career for us. Sad.

RIP

It is pretty messed up. He was one of the best QB's to ever come from a traditional Black College. He probably would have won a Heisman in 1994 if he had went to any Division I-A School.

Sounds like the situation was quite seedy. The chick was a 20-year-old Iranian national, 16 years his junior, whom he'd met when she waited his table at Dave & Buster's. He's still married, so the question now is did the Arabian mistress do him in, or did Mrs. McNair take them both out?

She was also busted last week DUI driving McNair's Tahoe, err Escrapade. Wait until the tox reports are released.

Reading Deadspin, it looks like Kazemi's ex might have some 'splaining to do. But unless there's evidence of struggle, & it were still an inside job, I'd go with Mc Nair's ex. It's not Steve stepping-out on her after she got her RN so she could treat him when away from the stadium, but stepping-out with a white girl... Not quite white -- though Iranians, Arabs, Israeli Jews, & some Indians will claim Caucasian, not Asian, on official docs, i.e. Census forms -- anyway, but white enough.

Never underestimate a sister scorned.

McNair was a big deal here in Nashville. Lots of people looked up to him. I'm guessing he had some sort of comare deal with Mrs. McNair, as he was "on the DL" known for screwing around and boozing (DUI a few years back...). Sucks for his family that this is looking pretty ugly. I'm already tired of the local news coverage of every local yokel talking about him as if he was a family member.

Aaaaaaaaaand cue Alanis...

http://www.nashvillecitypaper.com/content/city-news/mcnair-had-filmed-suicide-prevention-ad-weeks-his-death

[quote]Before his unexpected death on July 4, former Tennessee Titan quarterback Steve McNair had continued his tradition of civic involvement by filming a public service announcement for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, The City Paper has learned.

Sources say the advertisement was filmed, and editors were working on taglines and voiceovers when the deaths were discovered.

When asked about the existence of the PSA, the mental health department confirmed that the filming had occurred.

“We were developing a PSA but it never reached the point of being aired and it seems broadcasting it now is not only inappropriate but doesn't serve the community, his family or memory, or the issue we hoped the PSA would help address,â€
