Hey, now let's be fair. He stole from the Beatles, too.

He didn't end up owning half their catalog though.

Not only dead, but dead without the knowledge of any of the atrocities. Colonel Alzheimers took care of that.

OK, so I need some help.

I want to get a thorough and entertaining book about the Stones, one that also has a fair amount of good photography as well. I need some recommendations.

I remember hearing a lot of good things about "Old Gods Almost Dead" and heard that the "Exile On Main Street" book is a pile of shit.

Waddaya got?

The Exile book is sort of a rehash of STP You want Up and Down with the Rolling Stones by Spanish Tony Sanchez or The True Adventures of The Rolling Stones by Stanley Booth

Old Gods is pretty damn good. I recommend all of these pretty much equally if you want to grasp the mythology surrounding The World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band.

Dig it. I'll start socking away bail money right now.

As far as books with lots of cool pictures and that, I recommend Bill Wyman's Rolling With The Stones.

Looks like used copies can be had for a pretty nice price.

I second GAR's recommendation of Up & Down with The Rolling Stones.
