do i want to see this guy live? all ages show (negative) at a small-ish venue (positive) in boulder (close to home = positive) on a sunday night (i'm old = negative).

i mean, he doesn't even have that many songs under his belt, how long can his show last?

I was not expecting much from this guy...I figured a watchable show, ably performed with capable musicians...SO MUCH MORE

this guy and his band plays with such force and passion its quite amazing, slightly different arrangements of the songs, a cover of a talk talk song sung by the drummer. Also some loud, bluesy Neil Young-ish guitar playing.

Go, you'll love it.

Saw him open for Elvis Perkins before I heard 'For Emma...'. He was solo, but definitely worth it.

There are a lot of clips on YouTube showing how good this guy is live. The backing band really adds a lot.

Saw them with a band at Bonnaroo and was not expecting as full a sound as it turned out to be. They played a Yo La Tengo cover and he was really engaging live. At the end of the show he got the crowd to participate in a singalong to "Wolves" which was neat too (I think its a normal thing he does, but it was still cool).
