No thread on this album? How come I had to discover this myself?

OK, its a bit patchy in one or two places but this is one of the few albums of the last few years that actually rocks like it means it.

Nice to hear a band that actually has real ideas, melds them to traditional forms instead of trying to sound 'new' and actually know how instruments should sound.

Impressed and hopeful the bits I don't like will click at a later date.

I heard these guys a few months. I thought they sounded more like forced oddness rather than "real ideas, melds them to traditional forms." Not saying they're bad. I was tempted but not quite enough to pick it up.

This band was bad enough live that I just haven't brought myself to listen to the album.

I've been subjected to them three times, and each time they were horrendous.

Clearly I'm tapping into the zeitgeist once again.

They seem pretty decent. I don't know, I'd listen to 'em, but the first two songs on their myspace (off of Fits) aren't the sort of thing that really gets me excited to hear more.

Maybe they are the type of band that only sound good when you are sweating out a fever.

Really liked Workout Holiday from them last year (top 20 for me I believe), so interested in checking this out.

seriously, what is with the bassist, someone really needs to tell me. he looks like the kid in your 5th grade class who touched by the hand of god and developed into puberty eons before any normal child should and had a low crackly voice and sported (and proud of) a dark peach fuzz stache with a smattering of whiteheads kissing his cheeks. he also said his "r's" as "awwoo's"

is he in his 20s? is he a 5th grader? i thought it was a joke when i first saw the album but it has haunted me ever since so i need fucking answers

i saw them tonight. they were pretty good.

i'd totally forgotten about the bassist though. he's got short hair and no glasses now but still looks about 13.
