Free Slurpee® Drinks = Live Music To Their Ears

7-Eleven® Celebrates 82nd Birthday with Biggest Slurpee Bash Ever
5 Million Free Frozen Drinks and Access to Live Nation Concert Tickets

DALLAS (July 9, 2009) – If it’s July 11 or 7/11, then Slurpee® drinks must be on the house at 7-Eleven® stores. That’s because this Saturday is 7-Eleven Day, and the day the world’s first convenience retailer celebrates its birthday. This year promises to be the biggest ever, with 7-Eleven planning to give away close to 5 million free 7.11-ounce Slurpee drinks to celebrate its 82nd birthday at more than 6,000 stores in the U.S. and Canada.

I'm not sure there's a 7-11 left in Toledo OH. You know your town's in trouble when the convienience stores close down.

The corporate ones, anyway... I am sure Toledo still has plenty of independently-operated corner liquor-stores, & such.

Got 2 in town...though Sheetz is quickly making them archaic.

Speaking of what were they thinking, you can get this shirt at Sheetz:

Tried to get one at the 7-11 close to the movie theater where I saw "The Hangover" this evening - they were all out of cups. I thought about just cupping my hands.
