Awesome. UConn. Now I can see Rudy Gay, the kid Gary Williams failed to recruit to the Terps. Let's see how a 6-9 freshman that avergaged 12 pts a game could have helped down the road.

But just think where Maryland could be if the 'Jewish Jordan' would have panned out.

I've actually got Louisville winning it all in my cash bracket at work. My tourney life hinges on today's gt/louisville outcome. I never could get into the obner pool (stupid firewall. why does yahoo have to put "fantasy" in the url?)

Now that UConn has been knocked off by NC State, it's clear I would have gotten more enjoyment by investing my money in a Tendercrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch.

Help me, Rick Pitino. You're my only hope.

I have no hope. My hope commits too many turnovers, shoots poorly from the field and can't defend backdoor passing.

In addition I think my hope may well be shaving points, but I can't prove shit.

That's why I'm watching the race. I'll pick the tourney back up in an hour when Tech/Louisville starts.

Our avatars are disturbingly similar, though there seems to be a disparity in our careers. Shoulda stayed in school, foo'.

They need Chuck Barkley to do announcing for the tournament.

What is it about NCAA basketball that makes these announcers act like buffoons? Raftery's "Kisssss!", Vitale's schtick, it seems like basketball gets a more annoying brand of shit for brains than other sports. Maybe it's just because there are more games.

As much as it pains me to say this...

North Carolina is pretty fucking dominant.

Lets see.

Illinois
OSU
UW
(hopefully Louisville)
Texas Tech
UNC
Villanova

I'm done in the Austin bracket. I can get one more point if Duke beats Miss. St. but who cares.

Basically all my points rest on Illinois and Lousiville making it to the final four.

I'm pretty nervous about this G. Tech/Louisville game though.

After Nova... UNC has a cake walk to the final four. Wisky/Bucknell or NC State. God. I still think Nova can beat them, although Sumpter has to go for 30.

I sure hope Nova beats them.

Actually all of my Final 4 are still alive, but it's Louisville (losing the final) and 3 one-seeds. If the Cards go down, I'm pretty much out of this thing.

The final countdown of my sweet sixteen success:

UW-Milwaukee
Arizona
Louisville
West Virginia
North Carolina
Wisconsin
Michigan State
Utah

Elite Eight picks still alive in italic text.
Final Four picks still alive in bold-face.
