I really have come around to like Sticky Fingers more recently (and voted for it here), but I think Wild Horses is a song I've heard just too many fucking times.

London Calling is pretty damn great, but there's not much that can come close to the end-of-the-road decadence of Sticky Fingers. The only place to go afterwards was Exile and if the Stones had been human that's the point that should've marked 4 out of 5 of them dead.

Well said. As great as Exile is, Sticky is their "I can't fathom how they even made that record" record.

Or to quote a text I got from Derris on July 5 @ 3:46am: "Moonlight mile is possibly the best song of all time"

Haha. I got that one too.

Sorry guys. I was experiencing one of those sublime moments.

It was very late, I'm sitting on this rooftop deck looking out over Boston by myself, I'm finishing off some vodka drink, our hosts are sweeping out the remaining two or three revelers downstairs, and this came on random.

It was perfect.

I understood immediately, Derris. I looked at phone and smiled and went back to sleep.

Well, it didn't wake me up, at least.

The following album will move on to the quarterfinals:

The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers

Wow, London Calling doesn't even make it to the final eight.
