This is the quarterfinals round of the tournament stage. Please vote for the album that you feel should move on to the Final Four.

To encourage as many votes as possible, the deadline to vote will be Monday at 1:00PM Eastern.

In some ways, Pavement are the anti-Mats. Where the Replacements made the mistake of striving for greatness despite their own self-destructive impulses, Pavement embraced disaffection and carelessness and made a career of it.

Mats.

With my newfound apathy towards Pavement, this also is an easy choice.

Mats.

I have no issues with Slanted and Enchanted. I'm in the camp of it being my favorite album of theirs (although it's close with Wowee Zowee). I

That said, Mats.

This whole venture has got me listening to them more lately.

I went with Pavement, but wouldn't argue that it is the best choice.

pavement.

even though i've known and liked the replacements longer, the thought of how angry a possible pavement vs. radiohead final would make some people around here is too much to pass up.

Pavement...carelessness

Of course its careless, its careless because its a rock n' roll album with a tornado for a soul, that spins on pure adrenaline, that careers out of control, unstoppable, a force of nature, disintegrating everything it touches.

While, on the other hand, Let It Be is a nice, even superior, little pop record but ultimately slightly sappy and suburban, the sort of record that would shed tears over some unattainable cheerleader.

You have it entirely backwards, of course.

So rock n' roll is careful? You are disagreeing with your own description of the band!

And don't confuse music with the mirage of personnel Santana.
