You went to Phipps but didnt go across the street to Lenox? (another high end mall but with more stores)

I'll be monitoring you guys' plans for a meetup but I can promise nothing with the new baby and all. But I will be working some later in the week so its not out of the question that I might be able to swing through.

You should hit the Tavern at Phipps.

Dropped the wife and son off at the Airport at 5:30 this morning. On my own now.

Anyone have any ideas of a potential meet-up (day, location, etc.)?

don't think I'm gonna hit that, but if anyone does go a drink beforehand would be appropriate.

yeah, decent places with good jukeboxes and beer selections...nothing too crazy, though all bets are off should Derris show up

Is there a place in mind or do you want to arrange this via cell?

I'm in for Thursday. Last chance to show any interest in going to see Cracker that night. If not, I'm going tonight I think.

Regardless, DHR, what is your schedule and what is your transport situation? Do you have a car?

If you're thinking about cabbing it then I could possibly pick you up since I'm probably the northernmost Obner in the city. Either after work or after I get home depending on when you're free. Of course, you'll have to cab it home. Your call but the offer is there.

As for where we go I don't really care but does anyone want to eat anything or just get drinks. The Local is fine if we can sit outside. I've been wanting to try The Porter's food as well.

Depending on time I will make a special guest appearance. I have a meeting in Norcross from 3 - probably 6:30 or 7.

Those two just misunderstand each other. Drink is nowhwere near the defender of PPDD that he's somehow been pegged with and Loog isn't the near the blow hard he comes off as on here.

I'll be like Jimmy Carter with Egypt and Israel.

who am I kidding. Loog is every bit the blow hard

Yeah, i guess i'll pass on the cracker show (not familar with most of their stuff)

I do have a rental car but I'd prefer not to drive after drinking (can't imagine the hassle of getting a DUI in another state on government travel with a government rental car....yikes). A ride down there would be fantastic (if not I don't have a problem taking a cab down there or maybe getting a classmate to drop me off). I'll be out of class NLT 3:30 so I'm free anythime after that. Hotel has free happy hour from 5:30 - 7:30 if anyone wants some free drinks before meeting up.

It's actually not a problem for me to swing by after work. I can kind of make it on my way. I'll PM you with my cell.

So, anyone want to make the call on this? 7:30 or 8 somewhere?

I'd like to be able to get a bite wherever we go.

I'm fine with The Local or the Porter. Or anywhere in Midtown or Little 5.

As far as places with jukeboxes the only ones that immediately come to mind are Local, Brewhouse, and Righteous Room.

Derris - make it 8 and I can hopefully get to your crib and then roll with you.

Okay since no one has stepped up and made a decision I'm making the call if no one has any objections....

Porter Beer Bar - 8pm

Mostly because I want to try their food and get "The German Tour" beer sampler.

After, we can go over to Brewhouse if we want to go somewhere with a jukebox or wherever we decide.

DHR, I've got your cell. I'll hit you up when I'm heading to your hotel. Pretty sure I know where it is. What is the hotel again?

Loog, if you're still in, call me. I probably won't be going home after work so I can direct you to where we'll be.

Dave, Drink, Bloor?

Is the Porter Beer Bar near the Local?
