Mark Buehrle, second career no-no.

This time, it's perfect.

that catch (and every no hitter has one) was really awesome.

And against a good team.

I am. But in light of The Obner's ignominous fall at the hands of Pumachik, I figured I would lighten his mood, should he darken the board, with a White Sox thread.

Plus: it was a perfect game. Is that no. 20, all-time?

Unbelievably Impressive. I wonder if Ozzie Guillen creamed himself watching it.

As a Cubs fan:
GodDAMN!!!
Well done!
Something like that should just be appreciated by any fan of the game, no matter where your allegiance lies.

Big ups to Mark!

wow. smart move to put him in as a defensive replacement.

Wise will probably be remembered forever too.

The ironic thing is Wise is below average defensively... which makes "the snatch" even more incredible. Plays an extremely shallow CF and they finally told him to move it back recently.

One of those career minor league guys Guillen just adores. Brian Anderson could be one of the best defensive CFs in baseball if given the chance, but the powers that be prefer the .190 hitting, shallow-fielding Wise. Anderson was just sent back down when Quentin came back, mainly because he has options left and Wise doesn't... I guess the fates decided to smile on him today.

Wise is so crappy, even the Reds didn't want him.

Edit: I need to Tivo "This Week In Baseball" this week.

The thing about the catch that got me was how he bobbled it. I'm sure every Sox fan was all "GAAAAAAHHHHHHH" when it happened.

Saw that between his no-hitter & perfecto, Buehrle faced the minimum 54 batters. Is that a first?

(No-hitter, walked Sosa, then picked him off first. )
