Garofalo Has Winning Hand for NBC Pilot

By Nellie Andreeva

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Janeane Garofalo has been tapped to star in NBC's comedy pilot "All In," based on the life of poker champ Annie Duke. The casting of Garofalo lifts the contingency off the project, in which Garofalo plays a single mom of three in Las Vegas who is a professional poker player.

Actress-comedian-radio host Garofalo was twice nominated for an Emmy for her role on HBO's "The Larry Sanders Show." On the big screen, she will next be seen in Marc Forster's dramatic thriller "Stay."

This show will probably last 1 season or less because I'm interested in it.

I still have no idea why she ever was, nor continues to be famous.

The liposuction sure aided the "cute" part.

Is the poker craze even still going?

This seems a little late to the "game" if you will.

I don't think this show can really "up the ante".

They should just fold.

I don't like the sound of it, but Janeane's worth giving it a shot.
Everyone needs to stop hatin' - she's great and occupies the permanent #5 spot on my "List".

Source? As far as I know, she got a breast reduction at the beginning of her career and that's it. Either way, she's hot in my book.

Yeah, I don't know - couldn't corroborate it. I heard it somewhere and shot my mouth off. Although breast reduction is liposuction and she apparently did it for purely aesthetic reasons.

I'll also throw my hat in on the "this doesn't sound that promising" ring, though she has exibited signs of good judgement in the past...

I liked Mystery Men.

Her movies have been spotty, but I bet most of her movie choices looked good in original script form. The end results are patchy, but she's nearly always worth watching.
