Caught these guys yesterday in the rain and muck, but thankfully they were (at or at least appeared to be) sober. Fantastic set.

I've seen them with keys and slide before, but they were joined by the horn section from Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears (I guess that would just be the Honeybears). The horns were a badass addition to some of the older songs, especially "That Much Further West".

Let's see how much I can recall of the set list:
Sounds of the City
That Much Further West
Nights Like These
Can't Feel A Thing
Devil & Maggie Chascarillo = Obner
Sixes and Sevens
Joining the Army into Last Night in Town
I Can Get Us Out of Here Tonight
Tonight Ain't Gonna Be Good (maybe?)
Tears Don't Matter Much

I think I'm missing a few in here, but that's the general idea. Third time I've seen them, and the best performance.

Goddammit. When I saw them they were touring with BJL & the Honeybears and I got all excited anticipating that the horn section would join 'em. Bastards left me hanging.

Envious.
