I think that if you're a fan of Bazan, Pedro, etal, then you will find this interesting. Coming from the circles I tend to find myself in, purposefully or even accidentally, I relate to A LOT of what Bazan says and feels and interact with people that attempt to misinterpret his songs to be apologetic and not quite as dismissive as they actually are...anyway, here's the article:

yeah, he's dropped the PTL name but still cranking new material as bazan

new album's supposed to be out in september, i do believe

that last ep he did (also as bazan) was excellent

There was a Christian music doc where he was interviewed and he said some pretty inflammatory stuff about faith-based music. I feel like that's one of the reasons why PTL moniker got dropped.

He had some valid points though. He felt like many fans of Christian music were close-minded about lyrics, or about his influences. Plus, he said it was a drag to get judged for having a beer.

Say it ain't so.

The obvious isn't always obvious to the people being spoken to. Like I said it was a Christian music doc, so it seemed revelatory to probably 90% of the audience.
