This is the first part (the group stage) in Obner's efforts to pick the best album released in the 2000s. In the group stage, there will be 64 groups of 5 albums. The top vote-getter in each group will advance to the 64-album tournament.

Please vote for the album that you feel deserves to be in the tournament. The deadline for this group is Tuesday, August 4 at 1:00PM Eastern Time.

only one here I've heard is that The Roots, and its not that great. I've heard a couple MGMT tracks that I actually liked more than I should, but not enough to really vote for 'em. going Brewster's Millions here.

Kinda weak group. Good albums but nothing spectacular.

Voted for Enon.

I went Animal Collective, but don't really care who advances from this one.

Animal Collective will be 2009 only entry and is my vote but glad MGMT is going to move on as well.

---------------

i wish we waited for this year to be over before we did this...kind of too many of these, all at the same time, burnout is happening.
