This is the first part (the group stage) in Obner's efforts to pick the best album released in the 2000s. In the group stage, there will be 64 groups of 5 albums. The top vote-getter in each group will advance to the 64-album tournament.

Please vote for the album that you feel deserves to be in the tournament. The deadline for this group is Tuesday, August 4 at 1:00PM Eastern Time.

FUGAZI.

That's my favorite Lightning Bolt album, but it can't compete with The Argument.

Do not like that Blonde Redhead album. I like about half of that T.I. album.

Fugazi over Blonde Redhead. It's a great Blonde Redhead album, but I really like Fugazi.

Josh Ritter easily for me. Just saw him last week and he put on a fantastic show.

I liked Misery is a Butterfly at the time, but it's been a while since I've listened to it.

I feel like I should hear Josh Ritter at some point.

Voted Fugazi. Gave that album a lot of play when it came out.

Don't like Fugazi. Lightening Bolt wore me out too quickly, and that isn't even their best. Did enjoy that Blonde Redhead, though. I don't expect it to win, but I'm coo' wit that.
