I have just developed an incredibly strong urge to use a pencil sharper.

Alas I don't think I've even seen a pencil sharper since 1986 never mind own one currently.

Do you think it would be possible to sharpen an entire pencil as one long continous unbroken shaving? Oh God! I've got to get down the stationary store first thing tomorrow!

Sang in public (used to be active in chorus in highschool) I miss it sometimes, and I know my voice has gone downhill.

Worn nude pantyhose. For that matter, can't remember the last time I wore a slip either.

Drank out of a crazy straw.

gene rayburn: "it's just a matter of time before someone says..."

[BEEP]

gene rayburn: "richard simmons?"

richard simmons: "well, whenever i'm working out in my living room with my 7 cats and chinese poodle, i'm usually in the mood for a good tapioca pudding."

gene rayburn: "your answer is 'tapioca pudding'?"

richard simmons: [giggles] "no, no. silly man. i was just reminded of doing yoga with my children. i prefer the purple and green tights."

gene rayburn: "so what's your answer?"

richard simmons: "well gene, what i was going to say is, it's just a matter of time before someone says 'bippy'. that's my poodle's name. bippy."

gene rayburn [to contestant #1]: "richard simmons says 'bippy'. do you agree or disagree?"

don knotts: "bippy! well you gotta be outta your tummy-crunchin noggin'!"

contestant #1: "i disagree."

gene rayburn: [pausing a moment] "that is correct."

I got everything except "anzufangen," which is sort of the key word in that sentence.

You know, it had been a long time for me on these two too... I don't know what was going on but this past summer, I broke out of my rut. My husband and I joked about it. Last spring, we had ridden our bikes to a spring beer fest downtown, found a great table under a shady tree to spend the afternoon, and every time my hubby walked away to get another beer, he'd come back and new guys would be sitting at the table with me chatting. It was quite humorous actually.

I think I did most of these Saturday night, Phil. Get on the ball.

As for me, it has been ages since I have cared enough to give a fuck.

Nicht alles, wahrscheinlich. :D

"wieder anzufangen" = "once again on to beginning"... to start again. They luuuuuv to cram word bits together.

I haven't given all my guitars the 'ol Spring Cleaning in years. Used to do that annually. Might be a good habit to get back into.

Was it The Pursuit Of Happines that didI'm An Adult Now that sounded sort of Jim Carrol-ish? Anyway, I can hear it when I write this post, but it has been a while since I
...ate mushrooms and walked around in the woods laughing
...have been in an elevator
...read some pure trash novel
...driven a car, sometimes I miss it
...seen a movie in the middle of the day
...had noplace to be/nothing to do.........................

But Easter Sunday we close the restaurant for four days and will be going to the mainland and renting a rover, driving around the country seeing stuff we haven't seen since we moved here, hope to do a canopy zip-line, some caving, there are great swim spots up in the Cayo district, and Mountain Pine Ridge is beautiful, we then drive down to Placencia for a night at Coppola's resort there. So I plan to knock at least a few of my ...haven't done in a whiles off. Does repelling count for the elevator thing?

Good topic, makes me get excited about my trip!

The last sentence strikes me as very Montesque of the Germans. Then again, I am German from my paternal grandmother, so maybe I get it from them, not vice versa.

As to what I haven't done in some time, it has to be that I have not...

... told a woman, 'I am an hour behind you (eastern versus central time), but I would rather be an hour in your behind'.

I did that on Saturday night -- cue: Cat Stephens --, yes, but I want to do that again.
