You know that generic "hey, guy" face you sorta have to make as you pass coworkers that you don't really know, but you see everyday? I'm getting tired of making that face. What are my other options? (There's already one scary dude on the floor who just does NOT acknowledge other people in any way, no "hello" or anything, even when spoken to, doesn't even turn on his office light, keeps his office door closed. So that m.o. is taken.)

If I could pull that off without vomiting, I might try it.

I love coffee mind reading.

Is it mind reading or just you go there all the time? haha

I have a restaurant, best breakfast around where I live, that I go to at least one day on the weekend every week. The hostess knows me and by the time I get to her stand she just has to ask me how many people in my party. Sad thing is, now all the waitresses and even bus boys know me. It's kinda cool, but sorta depressing. It's my own Cheers.

um, I go there like 3 times a day.

I give people in the office "the 'sup nod", but with a suspicious eye, so they stop and wonder what the hell they missed.

I could become Johnny Preoccupied and just stare at my blackberry as I walk.

i had some sort of critter in my
ear tunnel last night
and maybe
most of yesterday.

i kept passing it off
as water
but then
it woke me up several times

i could feel it crawling around in there!
messing around in my wax!

it was too far in there for me
to get with q-tip or other stick

so i slept with
that side up
hoping
it would
crawl out

i figured the bug
probably knew what it was
doing
more so than me

then
i started to fear it was spider
and that it was laying eggs
and that my brain would be their home

so i got up
and
used my plant watering can
to water my ear

i think it's gone now
or i drowned-ed it

I have a fave Mexican restaurant that I visit about once a week as well (Dana was taken there while visiting). It doesn't matter which waitress it is, they already know..."Iced Tea and guacamole to start?" Yup!

I'm sometimes a rebel and order a Diet Coke.

Handy tip: If you're sitting down to finish off some bbq pork and beans for lunch, don't click on this link.

Attention bosox fans:

Quote:
Ex-wife of former Red Sox player working as escort
A TV news station in Arizona is reporting that Annette Gray O'Leary - ex-wife of former Red Sox left fielder Troy O'Leary - has been hiring herself out as an escort. NBC affiliate 12 News says Mrs. O'Leary - who resigned from her post as assistant principal at Kyrene Del Cielo Elementary School in June - was also Taya Taylor, an escort who charged $450 for a "girlfriend experience.'' The station says the O'Learys have two children, one of whom has special needs, and Annette asked for more child support from Troy last year. As of yesterday, the Taya Taylor website was "under construction.'' -- Boston Globe

Caught this on Deadspin last week. Apparently, one of the readers checked her escort profile, & one of the shots was her done up as teacher, standing in front of a chalkboard.

Maybe you could start to be the white guy who talks "street" but "ironically."

You know like "Hey PLAYER! WHAT'S POPPIN?" but in the cheesy honky voice ala Banya from Seinfeld?
