I had to post this for konstantinl. We talked for two pages about the Yanks, at least he can go off on the Tartan Army for a post or two. They showed the deflection shot of the free kick on ESPN Sport Nation during the three tears segment.

Norway 4- Scotland 0

Scotland's misery was compounded in the cruelest way when Norway defender Riise rifled the free-kick past Marshall with the help of a massive deflection off Brown.

Scotland now need wins in their last two qualifiers against Macedonia and Holland at Hampden next month to have any chance of a play-off spot and on the evidence of this game, hopes cannot be high

Thanks for posting this you prick, I was just getting over it. Probably our worst result since Portugal beat us 5-0 back in the mid '90's.

We were the better team and it was 0-0 when the referee sent off a defender for virtually nothing. Norway then scored direct from the free kick, and both our remaining central defenders got injured, forcing us to play with 10 men and a full back and midfielder in defence. Cue collapse.

It was also a really stupid time to schedule the fixture since the Norwegian players (well, most of them) were in the middle of their season, while most of our players hadn't kicked a ball since May.

Our coach has made a complete fuck up of the entire campaign but we have two home matches left and if we win them both we still have a chance of being runner up in the group and making the play offs.

At least the league season starts at the weekend. Murderwell better win at St.Johnstone or I'm going to be on a fucking window ledge somewhere.

Have you seen Coke yet? I did hear that he has been impressive so far.

Motherwell fans tend to be overly enthusiastic about new signings. We could sign a one legged gypsy and he would get 10 out of 10 on his debut, voted man of the match on the website etc, etc and then three matches later everyone is singing "fuck off you gypsy bastard, your shite, your shite!" and throwing bricks at his car.

Coke didn't really do much in the away leg to Steaua Bucharest except miss an absolute sitter from about 6 yards out.

Second leg he did OK, nothing spectacular but he's a big strong boy and a decent athlete and showed a couple of nice touches and generally was worth his place in the team.

Looks the best of the players we've brought up north, apparently being able to run fast qualifies you as footballer these days (Chris Humphrey we are looking at you).
