These guys any good?

I really liked 'Velvet' when it came out, and 'Dominos' too

Its pretty easy to spot their influences, and the singer has some unfortunate Richard Ashcroft level seriousness going on in the Velvet video

Anyone heard anymore?

Big Pink - Velvet

Big Pink - Dominos

Big Pink - Too Young To Love (Delorean Remix)

I mentioned it in a thread the other day. I need to listen more, but there were 3 or so songs that caught my attention.

Listening again. This thing comes and goes with me. It's got some seriously pro/non-indie production.

Twice. Is it a grower?

if you don't like it after a few listens, it's not gonna grab you.

i personally love it. gets a lot of play here at work especially.

It was for me. I listened passively around 3 times and wrote it off and then for some reason gave it another try and the hooks started coming out. I'm actually going to buy the physical CD today.

a friend saw them about a month ago and raved about it. now i've been listening to a brief history of love for a couple days and digging it pretty hard. this may have a chance at top-20 material.

they're touring with a place to bury strangers in march, so i'll probably check out that.

I've only heard Dominos, but I liked it a lot. Not sure why I didn't seek the rest of the album.

i'm not really a fan of this album either. it touches all my buttons and should love it but it just leaves me cold. i think "Dominos" is brilliant because it starts off with a bang then settles into the song. love "Velvet" and really like "Frisk." the rest is just kind of there and the album never really delivers.
