I've never heard it but I was surprised you started with that one. For whatever its worth, its one of his lowest rated ones on AMG. I have 8 of his albums and really like all of them.

I've never heard it but I was surprised you started with that one. For whatever its worth, its one of his lowest rated ones on AMG. I have 8 of his albums and really like all of them.


that is good to know, because i honestly was not blown away by any means. honestly, i picked this one because i had just listened to some sonny clark, and i knew i liked most of the stuff with billy higgins so far...and most superficially, i liked the album cover. i will check out the one you had on the previous page.

My sax teacher was a student and colleague of McLean... good stuff- he has a memorable 'hard' sound
