I guess I've heard half of these, or maybe 2/3. And ... meh. Not something I feel like voting in.

voted for "One More Time." i see that there is someone else, good job. I don't know when i fell in love with Daft Punk but i know it was this song that probably made me the happiest. this is one of the songs that encompassed my passion for this thing called music in this decade.

their number five but number one (out of these songs) in my heart.

so I listened to B.O.B. a bunch of times in the past few days. It's an awesome song but frankly, I just don't get how it could possibly be the best song of the decade. Even with burnout factor - Hey Ya is way way way better.

and Animal Collective even being in the top 20 is an insult. Obviously they had to be very diplomatic including genres, newer and older. But I don't get it.

Thus the problem with a premature list.

If you're going for best "pop song", it's really hard to argue that "B.O.B" is better than "Hey Ya". But with something as open-ended as "best song", there are hundreds of valid answers, the criteria for what makes one better than another being so wide open and subjective as to be pretty much impossible to argue with.

Even these two songs by the same group are hard to measure against each other, even though they both aim for crossover appeal. They both work in different ways.

I don't think it's an "insult" to put Animal Collective in the top 20, considering what else is in there. Unless you mean it's an insult to Animal Collective.

why is that? My Girls is far far better than the majority of that list.
