I believe it was still no line when or N/A when I checked.

It is now

Alabama -4 vs V Tech.
Tech lost their starting RB and might be pretty one dimensional, so I don't know how that really effects things.

If I was a betting man, I'd take BYU and LSU against the spread and Cincinnati to pull the upset. I'd be tempted to take Oregon, Georgia and Nevada.

I don't know. I think the LSU-Wash game has the makings of a closer-than-expected-contest. On the road, Healthy Jake Locker, first game jitters, new coach with no film, etc.

I haven't been following SEC football this off season---what does LSU have coming back from last year?

I have been following. Don't watch man. It ain't gonna be pretty.

That's kinda' what I figured.

I'll be at the USMNT World Cup Qualifier that night anyway. I'll still Tivo the game, though, and fast forward through the carnage.

To be specific,

On offense LSU should be great. Most of the offense line is back including All American Ciron Black. All SEC WR Brandon Lafell and all SEC RB Charles Scott also returns. Jordan Jefferson, a true sophomore, will get the start at QB. He was impressive in the Peach Bowl against Ga Tech and Arkansas in his only two starts.

On defense we're optimistic but cautioned. The DL is completely rebuilt, but the Secondary features Chad Jones and Patrick Peterson. The LBs are basically the same as last year.

I'm surprised at how many LSU fans are making the trip to Seattle. It should be a pretty sizable visiting crowd considering how far the trip is.

Are you going?

Husky Stadium in September is an unbelievable setting--wish I could be there.

Next year the Sea of Red makes it way to Washington on September 18th.
The Huskers and Huskies are tied up 3-3-1, with Nebraska winning the last two games in 97 and 98.

Neither Nebraska nor Georgia are too have a great year according to the simulations. No Mid-Majors crack the BCS games, and Notre Dame is BCS bound.

This cracks me up. OSU is consistently good for 2-3 cringeworthy stories like this a year.At least most of their fans realize how bad it is.

I still don't know how OSU/Georgia will turn out.I can see OSU piling on some points, but then again I wouldn't be surprised to see Georgia break their hearts either.

I don't know what kind of effect, if any, this will have but their starting Tight End and starting Linebacker have either left the team for personal reasons or lost to injury for the year. All this week.

Not to mention their starting CB and huge kickoff return threat was arrested this week for driving on suspended license. He'll play apparently but you have to think these are huge distractions the week of this game.

DETROIT (AP) -- The Motor City Bowl was rechristened Wednesday as the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, with the Detroit-based pizza chain stepping up to sponsor the college football bowl game as two of the region's beleaguered automakers step down.

"What can go better with football than pizza?" said Little Caesars Enterprises Inc. president David Scrivano at a news conference Wednesday unveiling the title sponsorship and name change.

Had Domino's -- also Detroit based, if not mistaken -- come thru on this, Notre Dame would be guaranteed a bowl every season. Tom Monaghan looks out for his papists.

In the area, then. Ann Arbour, at least. I recall talking with a mate at collee, Michigander, about a trip to the Big House & a wrong turn heading out, & almost ending up in Greater Detroit.

Uh, yeah... Bad Idea Jeans.

As for tonight. I guess I'll take NC State since Tommy is a fan. I'll maintain neutrality in the Oregon/Boise State game, even though I do sort of like seeing BCS teams travel to the Blue turf and taking them down a notch. It also benefits the Big-12 if no mid-major steals a BCS spot.
I have a feeling Oregon loses this one and takes Utah down a peg at Autzen Stadium.

Good start to the year with the S.C./N.C. State game... not much scoring, but a tight one. Good game played by Garcia (not great, but good).

State literally had it in their hands and dropped it. This one has to sting.

Also, Stephen Garcia will be arrested for pandering outside some bar in Five Points in Columbia tonight.
