Never thought I wanted one and now that I've got one can't imagine being without it.

It's been a lifesaver since my CD collection, nor my stereo, have still not been moved into my apartment yet.

I decided to go with a 8GB Nano today since I just don't want that much music on an iPod at a time. With my old 20GB I just kept wading through music I didn't want to listen to. I can't imagine doing that x50 bajillion.

Agreed. The first Ipod I bought was a 20 gig. At the time I thought the same thing as any music/tech fanatic would think, the bigger the better. Not the case (for me at least). Since buying my 4 gig shuffle I haven't touched the 20 gig.

I think it's a matter of quality over quantity (or, more so, what-I'm-in-the-mood-for over quantity).

Its a double-edged sword. On the other hand, when I have my ipod (120gb classic) on shuffle - I hear stuff that I have forgotten about or for some reason or another haven't listened to in a long time. Actually I guess this leads to both what the OP was talking about but also 'rediscovering' stuff I shouldn't have forgotten.

Having said that.. Im in the process of going through and giving '1 stars' to albums that I then delete off the ipod when I dock it with iTunes.

that should be coupled with the lithium battery, cell phones, and digital cameras.

But the internet seems to be the best thing ever, although not a "product".

i'm with the freak on this one. i love having my 160 and being able to play anything, anytime. sadly i only have a little more than 10GB free now.

i also do the '1 star' thing.

I have one of those postage stamp sized ones. I've gone to iTunes once in my lifetime and am uncertain I know how to return...much less, remember what my user name and password are.
